Today is Got'cha Day

It has been one whole year since we made the trip with the Erber family to the O'hare airport to pick up our 3 new gifts. It has been a year of events, of seeing God's providence...and of course growing closer together as a family.

This morning I asked Eleanor if she new what happened today one year ago and she said "yeah...it was when we became a big family". Well I could not have said it any better.

The Christmas Program

Last Sunday our church had our annual Christmas program. Stuart and Evin said a poem, and Evin, Eleanor, Erik, and Maggie sang Away in the Manger with our Christ Church Children's Coir. There was lots of music, food, laughing.

Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving at Grandpa and Grandma's...where we where able to spend time eating, talking, and more eating, talking , playing games...
and yes we did the dishes too.
We where able to meet 16 year old Minjy from south Korea (staying with Uncle Micheal and aunt Leah as an exchange student). Also Uncle Chucks new bride, Vona, daughter Kaila and son William.

At some point during most family gatherings Grandpa gets out his accordion and plays, hymns, and other songs for us... this Thanksgiving was no different.

Computer fun

One of the big highlights while down visiting the Dodges (well at least for the boys :) was being able to play computer/ game boy.
I think at one point they had 5or 6 laptops out and where playing call of duty, and all who where not playing where hovering around those who where offering their advise. So needless to say it got kind a loud.
